Meet your doula

I'm Tori, I’m a doula and I love this work

I love being able to support families through one of the biggest moments of their lives. I love helping people feel calm when things get intense. I love watching partners step into their role with confidence. And I love those first quiet moments after baby arrives when everything shifts.

I've always been drawn to supporting families through big transitions. Before becoming a doula, I was an Aware Parenting instructor, working with parents to understand their children and themselves more deeply.

But it was birth work that really called to me. There's something so amazing about holding space for someone as they cross the threshold into motherhood and I wanted to be part of that.

My Training

I trained as a birth and postpartum doula - birth training with Rhea Dempsey and postpartum training with BirthRight. I'm also certified in the Birth Map® process with Catherine Bell, which is a beautiful tool I use to help you explore what matters most in your birth.

I'm a matrescence educator (trained with Nikki McCahon), which means I understand the deep identity shift that happens when you become a mother - not just the practical stuff, but the emotional and psychological transformation too.

I've done additional training in:

  • Circle facilitation

  • Breastfeeding education for doulas

All of this means I can support not just you, but your whole family unit - and help with those crucial early moments and first feeds when baby arrives.

What I Bring

I bring calm. I bring perspective. I bring practical knowledge about positioning, comfort measures and what's happening in your body.

But mostly, I bring presence. I'm there to hold space for whatever your birth needs to be, to help you feel informed about your choices and to remind you of your strength when things get hard.

I trust birth. I trust your body. And I trust that together, we can help you find your way through, no matter what comes up.

My Approach

I don't believe there's one "right" way to give birth. I believe in informed choice, in feeling safe and in being treated with respect, whatever path your birth takes.

Whether you're planning a home birth, a hospital birth, an induction, or a caesarean, my role is the same: to make sure you feel held, informed and supported.

Birth is a rite of passage, not a medical event to endure. And you deserve to experience it feeling anchored rather than overwhelmed.

“I trust birth. I trust your body. And I trust that together, we can help you find your way through, no matter what comes up.”
